TOURS
Every year Swaranjali arranges US tours of artists from India. Usually two instrumental
and two vocal concerts, and one dance concert are scheduled for each year.
The first
tour takes place during March-April-June and the last tour during September-November. Organizers interested in scheduling these programs in their respective cities should

Smt. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande (Vocal)
Glimpses of Indian Classical Music
Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande, an artiste of great caliber, is amongst the vocalists of the today's generation of the Jaipur-Atrauli tradition of Khyal singing. Systematic exposition of the Raag structure, brilliant phrasing, variety of taan patterns, ease and grace in all of the three octaves mark her singing. She presents the gammer of a Raag, and builds it up into an aesthetically pleasing experience. She will be accompanied by on Seema Shirodkar harmonium and Vishwanath Shirodkar on the tabla.

A unique instrumental duet of not only two different instruments, but also of two
different music streams of India, performed by Pt. Ronu Majumdar ( Hindustai Flute) and Vidwan M.Manjunath (Carnatic Violin). Accompanied by Pt. Ramdas Palsule (Tabla) and Vidwan Arjun Kumar ( Mrudangam).

Dhrupad is one of the oldest forms of North Indian classical music. Pt. Uday Bhawalkar is a standard bearer and a strong force in its growing recognition and popularity of 'Dhurpad. Uday believes that by total immersion in note and raga, the self disappears, and music takes on its own existence - The principle of ‘darshan’.

Nritya Rang -Creative Hues of Indian Classical Dance
Acclaimed Danseuse Yogini Gandhi and troupe will tour the US in the fall of 2010 presenting Indian Classical Dance Concert – Nritya Rang. A rare combination of talent, intellect and beauty, Yogini is amongst very few dancers who can perform two Indian classical dance styles - Kathak & Odissi - with equal dexterity and virtuosity.
