Pandit Sanjeev  Abhyankar, the maestro  from  the Mewati Gharana, is an  artist  of  international  acclaim in  the  field  of  Hindustani  Classical  Music. This extremely popular artist, is the inspiration for the young generation. With his magical singing, he has attracted the young generation towards the Indian Classical music.  In a career spanning more than 25 years, he has assumed the mantle of a role model of dedication, hard work, patience and perseverance.

Blessed with an exceptionally sweet voice, Sanjeev started learning Hindustani classical music from the tender age of eight. He was groomed initially by his mother Smt. Shobha Abhyankar, Pandit Pimpalkhareji and later by Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasrajji. He has contributed to the vast repertoire of Mewati Gharana compositions (Bandishes) by adding his own classical compositions. Venturing on a different and magical path of Abhangs, Sanjeevji carries the audience on a way of joy and pure serenity.

He has traveled extensively all over the country and world, performing in all the prestigious conferences and art circles. He has toured the U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Europe and the Middle East enthralling the music lovers with his magical singing. He has several cassettes and CD's by reputed music companies

Tanmay was born in the family of musicians. He received preliminary lessons in  Synthesizer from  his grandfather,  Shri. Gopalrao Deochake. Later he decided to concentrate wholly on harmonium playing. He received harmonium training from  Prakash Shinde of Nagar.

At present he is receiving advanced training from Shri. Pramod  Marathe of Pune.

Tanmay has been accompanying most of the top class artists  such as Pt. Suresh  Talwalkar, Mrs. Aarti Ankalikar, Mrs. Padma Talwalkar, Ram Deshpande, Vijay  Koparkar, Raghunandan Panshikar, Shaunak Abhisheki , Sanjeev Abhyankar,  Ramdas Palsule,  Yogesh Samsi , Vijay Ghate  and many more.

He has been playing synthesizer in many fusion concerts  He has accompanied on harmonium in various musical concerts  held at Jaipur, Kochin, Baroda, Hyderabad, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune and has also travelled abroad  to Bangkok (Thailand )  with Pt.Suresh Talwalkar and Shri. ShaunakAbhisheki   

   

Rohit

Rohit is a young and promising Tabla player of this generation. He has been initialized into Music since his childhood.He got his initial training in Tabla under the tutelage of Guru Shri. Babanrao Bhavsar, Jalgaon. He is a disciple of  Great GuruTaal-Yogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar and has learnt in the Gurukul system.

He is an upcoming versatile Tabla player in form of a good Solo Tabla player, as well as an sought after accompanist for Instrumental and Vocal Music. 

Rohit has been awarded the National Talent Search Scholarship for both Junior and Senior categories from the Ministry of Culture & Tourism, Govt. of India, New Delhi.Rohit has also won the Acharya Vishwanath Dev Sarma Art Foundation Award and performed for Vedic Heritage-New York in New York, U.S.A.

Rohit has many Solo concerts to his credit. He has also accompanied Great Vocalists like Padmashri Pt.Ulhas Kashalkar, Pta.Padma Talwalkar,Pt.Mukul Shivputra, Shounak Abhisheki, Smt. Aarti Ankalikar-Tikekar, Dr. Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande, .Sanjeev Abhyankar, Rahul Deshpande and also Instrumentalists like Ustad Shaahid Parvez, Pt.Vishwajeet Raychoudhary (Sarod), Roopak Kulkarni (Flute),Ulhas Bapat (Santoor).

Rohit has also toured extensively abroad in the countries like U.S.A,Europe & Singapore. Addition to all above ,Rohit was a residing faculty at New England School of Music, Massachusetts,USA and has got an experience of teaching over 50 students of various ages ,during June 2009- May 2010.
