Partho  started  his musical  training  under  his  father  late  Sudhamoy  Chowdhury ,  who was a  disciple  of Pt.  Radhika Mohan Moitra, the great sarod maestro.   Partho took  lessons  for  nearly  a  decade  from  Ustad  Dhyanesh  Khan  - son  and  disciple  of  the  legendary  sarod  player  Ustad  Ali  Akbar  Khan.  Since  1980  partho  has been  under  the  direct  guidance  of  Bharat  Ratna  Pandit  Ravi  Shankar,  India's  greatest  musician. With  this  long  and  very  illustrious  training  under  the  great  Gurus  coupled  with  an  inherent  protean  creative  sensibility,  Partho  Sarothy's music  is  truly  a  symphony  in  serenity.  

In  India  he  has  given  concerts  at  all  the  major  music  festivals like  Doverlane  and  S.R.A.  festival  in  Calcutta,  the  Savai  Gandharva  Festival, Pune,  IMG Fest, Mumbai, the  Shankarlal  Festival  and Vishnu Digambar  Jayanti, Delhi, Tansen Sangeet Samaroho, Gwalior  and  numerous  other  places  in  India.

Parthoji  has been performing  for  last  35  years  in  India  and  all  over  the  world  as  a  soloist  and   also  with   his  great  guru  Pt.  Ravi  Shankar  as  a  accompanist  in  the Kremlin hall in USSR, the Carnegie hall in USA, the  Royal  Albert  Hall  /  Royal  Elizabeth  hall  in  London  and  other  numerous  places  in and  out  of  India.

Ramdas

Ramdas Palsule, a very familiar name to the Hindustani classical music lovers, is an intellectual tabla player who has carved a niche for himself at a very young age. Although he had a Bachelor's degree in engineering from Pune University, Ramdas chose to pursue tabla as a profession. With such sincere dedication, he is now one of the top tabla players in the country. Ramdas is one of the most senior disciples of the world-famous tabla maestro Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar.

Being an accomplished soloist as well as a versatile accompanist, he has performed widely in all the eminent music festivals of India.

He has also performed extensively outside India in U.S.A., Canada, Germany, Australia, Africa and the Gulf countries.

His tabla accompaniment ranges from distinguished vocalists to prominent instrumentalists, and also to renowned Kathak dancers of the country. Besides performances, Ramdas imparts training to the younger generation of students of tabla. He is a faculty member at the Center for Performing Arts of the University of Pune.
